I am invisible if I don't tell you. You'll write my lines however it suits you. I haven't lied, but you're not listening.
I needed your affection. I didn't think it would affect me. You are asking me to change without a word.
We have in common trusting no one. I rely on you to want the wrong things. You long for the pain I can give you.'"

A flash to fly the darkness A smile to light the room And candlelight is all they need To love
When everything's a mystery And every little freckle is a work of art She doesn't have a history And he says nothing wrong
Not another lie Now she's getting kinda lonely Starting to forget the way they were
One more secret smile Now it's started and she's angry He's not there, and she's not listening
Now talking of appreciation Flowers at her door One more call to make it right Then an answer, she's heard it all before
Now a pillar drives a sorrow The wall denies his fear So they wait until tomorrow But these candles burn too long
Not another lie Now she's getting kinda lonely Starting to forget the way they were
One more secret smile Now it's started and he's angry She's not there, and he's not listening
Not another lie Now she's getting kinda lonely Starting to forget the way they were
One more secret smile Now it's started and he's angry Cause you're not here, and I'm not listening You're not here, and I'm not listening.

All lines in the actual art are from the book "Hard Love" by Ellen Wittlinger. I highly, highly recommend it.
this would be perfect....absolutely perfect (though it almost is right now) if that right corner wasn't therrrre. it's a PERFECT image -- almost a diptych in its composition. but even though the text in the bottom right is so powerful, it breaks up the perfect flow of the two main halves (the long text on the left and the texture of the right)
i know some people don't like constructive feedback because they only see it as criticism -- but i loveloveee it except for that one distracting piece in the corner -- and i couldn't not say something when all the potential is here. ((i'd feel like an even WORSE friend then )) i love you dearly

I don't mind constructive criticism.
I didn't have a very good editing program, and I checked that book out from the library, so I couldn't cut and paste.
Don't beat yourself up over it!
I'm happy that you are looking at it, commenting, etc. (:
As do I.
